TBR 2023

In 2022 I read 38 books, up from 32 in 2021. In 2023, I was still prioritizing books that I hadphysical copies of and wanted to decide if I would keep or not. In the absence of a really clear priority (for instance, reading Northanger Abbey or The Last Unicorn), I used a book randomizer I made in Excel that was weighted towards books I had a physical copy of.

Unfortunately 2023 was a rough year, and I didn’t have the capacity to do a lot of reading–even with audiobooks. So in 2023, I only managed a paltry 13 books, and nearly a third of those were things I read for class!

Anyway, here’s my TBR (To-Be-Read list) for 2023! As has become my norm, I have edited out the books I didn’t get around to reading. Many of those are being carried over to my 2024 list, though, for all of the none of you who are keeping score.

Key:

  • Bold green text denotes a book I read
  • Bold blue text denotes a book I read that was not originally on the list
  • (Audio) denotes a book I read in audiobook format
  • (Hybrid) denotes a book I read simultaneously in audiobook and traditional formats.
  • * Denotes a book I’m “prioritizing” because I already have a physical copy.
